Early 20th century Americana was prolifically immortalized in the many works of William Faulkner. I had the pleasure of reviewing Take Me Back to Jefferson – an adaptation of his novel, As I Lay Dying – by critically acclaimed Toronto theatre company, Theatre Smith-Gilmour.

There’s so much that can be said without even uttering a single word – and this piece, with its brilliant pantomime, exemplifies this notion to the fullest.
